abstract |
The present invention provides a hydrogen production catalyst that exhibits high catalytic activity even in a low temperature region, a production method thereof, and a hydrogen production apparatus. A catalyst for hydrogen production includes a metal foil and a metal active layer made of metal particles supported on the metal foil. With this configuration, high catalytic activity can be obtained even in a low temperature range. Moreover, the manufacturing method of the catalyst for hydrogen production forms the strong acid salt powder layer containing a metal element on the surface of metal foil. By thermally decomposing the strong acid salt powder layer, an oxide particle layer containing the metal element is formed. The metal active layer containing the metal element is formed by reducing the oxide particle layer. With this configuration, it is possible to produce a hydrogen production catalyst that provides high catalytic activity even in a low temperature range. [Selection] Figure 1 |
