abstract |
A heat insulating material using a porous gel having a silica skeleton, which is low in cost and excellent in heat insulating performance. SOLUTION: A composite heat insulating material 1 is a gel in which a trialkoxysilane compound and a tetraalkoxysilane compound are blended so that the tetraalkoxysilane compound is in the range of 4% to 10% with respect to the total volume of the alkoxysilane compound. An aqueous solution containing a raw material, water, and a surfactant and substantially free of alcohol is heated after hydrolyzing the alkoxysilane compound to form a sol, and the alkoxysilane compound is polymerized to react with the gel. And the gel is washed with alcohol, solvent-substituted with hexane, and dried. [Selection] Figure 1 |
