abstract A novel system that responds to driver behavior is provided. The present invention relates to a method for controlling one or more vehicle systems of an automobile. The method includes receiving monitoring information, the monitoring information including information from one or more vehicle systems and information about the state of the driver's autonomic nervous system, and driving based on the monitoring information. Measuring a person's physical condition index and changing operational parameters of one or more vehicle systems based on the physical condition index, wherein the operational parameters determine operation of a particular function of the one or more vehicle systems. One or more steps based on the operating parameters when the driver is drowsy, and a step that is used to determine whether the driver is drowsy based on the physical condition index Modifying the control of the vehicle system.
