abstract | The present invention provides a covering yarn having excellent heat resistance and heat insulation by using a heat resistant metal filament, a design twisted yarn, and a fiber structure using the same. SOLUTION: Covering yarns 1, 4, 6 in which water-soluble fiber yarns 3, 5 are wound around the surface of at least one heat-resistant metal filament 2 selected from tungsten (W) and molybdenum (Mo). Covering yarns 1, 4, 6 which are straight. The design twist yarn is composed of a core yarn, a flower yarn and a presser yarn, the flower yarn is the covering yarn 1, 4, 6, and the core yarn and the presser yarn are the covering yarn 1, 4, 6 or the water-soluble fiber yarn. A metal fiber layer that is actually twisted and is a fiber structure including a design twist yarn, the water-soluble fiber yarn is removed, and the heat-resistant metal filament 2 alone or the metal fiber layer A fiber structure composed of a flame retardant fiber layer having an oxygen index (O.I) measured by JIS K 7201-2 of 26 or more.
