abstract | An analyzer capable of accurately obtaining the absorption characteristics of a substance to be measured in a measuring method for modulating an injection current into a QCL is provided. An analyzer includes a QCL that converts a drive signal including a periodic waveform into measurement light in the mid-infrared region, and light that outputs a detection signal corresponding to the light intensity of the measurement light that has passed through a substance to be measured. The detection part 30 and the calculating part 40 which outputs the information showing the absorption characteristic of a to-be-measured substance based on a detection signal are provided. The calculation unit adds a delay unit that gives a time delay with respect to the other waveform to one of the correction waveform and the detection signal waveform generated from the drive signal, and adds one of the time delayed waveform and the other waveform. And a subtracting unit that generates a difference waveform between the waveform obtained by time-reversing the waveform after addition and the waveform after addition. The calculation unit repeatedly calculates the differential waveform while changing the delay time, and outputs the waveform after addition when the absolute value of the differential waveform is the smallest or information obtained from the waveform.
