abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a sound insulation structure capable of obtaining high sound insulation and a ship. A first sound-absorbing material 41 that is supported by a reinforcing rib 18 and includes a surface 41b disposed on the inner surface 25a side of the outer plate 25, and a surface that contacts the inner surface 25a of the outer plate 25 and faces the surface 41b. Provided between the first sound absorbing material 41 and the second sound absorbing material 43 in contact with the second sound absorbing material 43 including 43a and a part of the surfaces 41b and 43a, and is insulated by vibration. A sound insulation member 42, and the sound insulation member 42 has a plurality of through holes 46 through which sound waves pass in a direction from the surface 41b toward the surface 43a.
