abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a method for joining a laminated metal foil and a metal plate, in which a good joining quality without cracks and breaks can be obtained by improving the elongation of the material. A laminated metal foil in which two or more metal foils are laminated is sandwiched between a first metal plate and a second metal plate, and the metal plate and the laminated metal foil are joined by caulking. Before staking with a punch and a die, the second metal plate is not melted and squeezed by irradiating a laser beam near the planned staking position of the second metal plate arranged on the punch side. A joining method comprising: a laser beam irradiation step of heating to a temperature at which plastic flow of the second metal plate is promoted, and a step of caulking in a state where the second metal plate is heated.
