abstract The present invention relates generally to methods and materials used to make implants, particularly luminal tissue implants. The implant is manipulated by seeding myocyte precursors and fibroblasts on a cell-free scaffold or matrix, for example by infusion seeding using a specific cell ratio. The present invention provides a method of creating a tissue engineering construct for implantation into a subject that can utilize the novel seeding methods described herein for improved cell engraftment and differentiation. .
