The present disclosure relates to a recombinant immunoglobulin heavy chain comprising a VH domain, a CH1 domain, a hinge region up to the most C-terminal cysteine of the central hinge region, a sortase conjugation loop, a CH2 domain and a CH3 domain, comprising: A conjugation loop between a) the most C-terminal cysteine of the central hinge region and the N-terminal VFX1FPP (SEQ ID NO: 2; where X1 is L or I) consensus sequence of the immunoglobulin heavy chain CH2 domain B) comprising a sortase recognition motif consisting of at least 16 amino acids and consisting of the amino acid sequence LPX1TX2 (SEQ ID NO: 01), wherein X1 may be any amino acid residue and X2 is G or A C) at least two amino acids at the N-terminus of the sequence of (b) D) containing at least 6 amino acids at the C-terminus of the sequence of (b), and e) wherein the C- and N-terminal amino acids of the sequence of (b) are not cysteines.
