abstract | A method for producing thermoplastic polymer particles is obtained by mixing a first solution containing a thermoplastic polymer and an organic solvent and a second solution containing an aqueous solvent and a surfactant to obtain an emulsion. Includes steps. The emulsion is transferred to receiving water to remove the organic solvent and form an aqueous dispersion comprising a plurality of thermoplastic polymer particles dispersed in the aqueous solvent. Thermoplastic polymer particles having a D50 of 20-100 μm are recovered with a yield of more than 85%. Also disclosed are thermoplastic polymer particles prepared by the method.
