Methods and compositions for the treatment of metastatic and refractory cancers and tumors |
abstract |
One method for treating a cancer-bearing mammalian subject is to apply a small molecule inhibitor of a target signaling molecule of the MEK / MAPK pathway that impairs T cell activation to said subject having a cancer such as metastatic or refractory cancer or tumor. And administering to the subject a molecule that induces T cell proliferation in the presence of the inhibitor. A combination of a small molecule inhibitor targeted to the MEK / MAPK pathway and a T cell proliferation inducer reduces cancer and tumor cell growth in vivo. Compositions and kits comprising these components are also provided. [Selection] Figure 2D |
