abstract Certain configurations of a thermoplastic sheet or article comprising a plurality of porous layers bonded together are described herein. In one configuration, the thermoplastic article may comprise a core layer, a first layer disposed on one surface of the core layer, and a second layer disposed on the other surface of the core layer. In some cases, the core layer, the first layer, and the second layer can each include an open-celled web formed of a plurality of reinforcing materials bonded together with a thermoplastic material and, optionally, a loaf. A tinting agent may also be included. The lofting capability can be selected or adjusted from layer to layer to provide the desired properties.
