The present application relates to the field of glycotechnology, and more particularly to eukaryotic cells in which endoglucosaminidase is present and UDP-galactose 4-epimerase (GalE) is deficient. Typically, glycoproteins are also present in cells. These cells can be used to deglycosylate or partially deglycosylate (exogenous) glycoproteins, and in particular do not require the addition of special enzymes. Also provided are methods for the application of these cells in protein production. |
