Use of a coating layer comprising a styrene-butadiene copolymer on a paper substrate to block oxygen migration |
abstract |
The present invention is the use of a coating layer on a paper substrate to block oxygen migration through the coated paper substrate, the coating layer on the paper substrate providing (a) a paper substrate having a surface (B) applying an aqueous coating material onto the surface of the provided paper substrate; (c) drying the paper substrate having the applied aqueous coating material to form a coated paper substrate. The aqueous coating material is at least 40 parts by weight styrene and 22 to 49 parts by weight butadiene and optionally, based on the sum of parts by weight of all monomers, which is always 100. Copolymers obtainable by radical-initiated emulsion polymerization of other monomers in the presence of the first degraded starch Containing aqueous dispersions, the use of a coating layer. The invention also relates to a coated paper substrate that can be obtained using a coating material comprising an aqueous dispersion of copolymer P and an additional saccharide added after polymerization of the monomer. The invention also relates to a process for producing a coated paper substrate that can be obtained using a coating material comprising an aqueous dispersion of copolymer P and further saccharides. |
