Embodiments of the present invention provide swallowable devices, formulations and methods for delivering therapeutic agents, such as antibodies that neutralize neutralizing proteins (NP), particularly interleukins, into the GI tract. Many embodiments provide a swallowable device, such as a capsule, for delivering various drugs into the intestinal wall (IW). Embodiments also provide a drug formulation that is contained within a capsule, configured to enter the IW from the capsule, and is broken down to release the drug into the bloodstream to produce a therapeutic effect. The formulation can be operably coupled to a delivery means having a first configuration housing the formulation in a capsule and a second configuration allowing the formulation to enter the IW from the capsule.
