The present invention relates to the identification of biomarkers in biological samples that can be used for diagnosis of prostate disease and detection of prostate disease. The invention further relates to the use of the biomarker glypican-1 (GPC-1) in combination with other biomarkers in a diagnostic method to distinguish prostate cancer from non-cancerous forms of prostate disease such as benign prostatic hyperplasia. |
