abstract | A cryopreservation bag for storing various biological specimens at low temperatures for extended periods of time. The storage bag includes a plurality of storage compartments and a plurality of breakable tabs. At least two of the plurality of breakable tabs connect each of the plurality of storage compartments to an adjacent storage compartment. Each of the plurality of breakable tabs includes at least one indentation and a narrowest portion located equidistant from at least two adjacent storage compartments. At least one indentation is connected to the walls of at least two adjacent storage compartments using respective linking portions of the plurality of breakable tabs. The plurality of breakable tabs allow the storage compartments to be separated from one another at cryogenic temperatures while maintaining effective hermetic integrity for each of the storage compartments. |
