abstract |
The present invention provides a marker composition for diagnosis of a disease associated with accumulation of cholesterol and a method for detecting this and providing information useful for diagnosis of the related disease. More specifically, hypoxanthine directly or indirectly increases intracellular cholesterol accumulation and induces oxidative stress, more preferably cholesterol accumulation and related diseases, more preferably coronary artery disease. It can be usefully used as a diagnostic marker. Further, the diagnostic marker of the present invention can be used to provide information important for the accumulation of cholesterol and the discovery and prognosis prediction of related diseases, and can be used for screening therapeutic drugs for related diseases. |
