The present invention provides a collection of fluorescent colloidal nanoplatelets, each of which comprises a nanoplatelet core containing a first semiconductor material and a shell containing a second semiconductor material material on the surface of the nanoplatelet core. The assembly relates to an assembly wherein the fluorescence quantum efficiency at 100 ° C. is at least 80% of the fluorescence quantum efficiency of the assembly at 20 ° C. The present invention also relates to a nanoplatelet film including the nanoplatelet aggregate, a backlit unit including the nanoplatelet film, and a liquid crystal display including the backlit unit.
