Methods and compositions for intravenous administration of fumaric acid esters for the treatment of neurological diseases such as stroke, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Huntington's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis are described herein. Will be disclosed. Provided herein is a method of treating a nervous system disease in a human patient in need of treatment of a nervous system disease, comprising dialkyl fumarate, monoalkyl fumarate, dialkyl fumarate and monofumarate. Selected from the group consisting of alkyl combinations, prodrugs of monoalkyl fumarate, any of the aforementioned deuterated forms, and any of the aforementioned pharmaceutically acceptable salts, tautomers or stereoisomers. Wherein the pharmaceutical composition comprising at least one fumarate ester is administered intravenously to the patient. |
