The present invention discloses a carbonaceous material. The carbonaceous material comprises 1 to 99% by weight of carbon element, 0.2 to 60% by weight of magnesium element, 0.5 to 60% by weight of oxygen element, and chlorine element with respect to the total weight of the carbonaceous material. 0.1 to 40% by weight. The present invention also provides a process for preparing a carbonaceous material comprising the following steps. (1) A step of mixing a solid carbon source, a precursor, and water to produce a mixture, wherein the precursor contains a magnesium source and a chlorine source. (2) A step of drying the mixture obtained in step (1) to produce a dry mixture. (3) A step of calcining the dry mixture obtained in step (2). The present invention also provides the use of the above carbonaceous material in the catalytic oxidation of hydrocarbons. With the above technical solution, the present invention can improve both the selectivity and the conversion rate in the oxidation in producing olefins. |
