Certain derivatives of amphotericin B (AmB) are provided that are characterized by reduced toxicity and retention of antifungal activity. Some of the derivatives are AmB C16 urea derivatives and C16 carbamate derivatives. A method for producing an AmB derivative is also disclosed. |
