abstract |
A neutron detector and a neutron measuring apparatus that enable a neutron spectrum in the outer region to be obtained with high accuracy are provided. A neutron detector includes a Li-containing scintillator that generates light upon receiving flying neutrons, a first shell that surrounds the Li-containing scintillator, and a second shell that covers the outside of the first shell. The first shell 10 is made of a moderator that decelerates neutrons, and the second shell 20 is made of a material whose main peak of the cross-sectional area of the resonance absorption reaction is in the range of 1 eV to 10 keV. The neutron measurement device includes a neutron detector 1 and a photomultiplier tube connected to the Li-containing scintillator 5 via a light guide. [Selection] Figure 1 |
