abstract | A silicone-modified epoxy resin composition having excellent tracking resistance and a semiconductor device sealed with the resin composition are provided. A silicone-modified epoxy resin obtained by a hydrosilylation reaction of the following components (A) to (C), (A) an alkenyl group-containing epoxy compound and an organopolysiloxane represented by the following average composition formula (1): In said formula (1), R is a C1-C10 monovalent hydrocarbon group mutually independent, a is a positive number of 0.01 <= a <= 1, b is 1 <= b <= 3. It is a positive number and 1.01 ≦ a + b <4. (B) Silicone modified phenolic resin (C) black pigment (D) inorganic filler (provided by hydrosilylation reaction of alkenyl group-containing phenol compound and organopolysiloxane represented by the above average composition formula (1) A silicone-modified epoxy resin composition comprising (C) excluding black pigment) as an essential component.
