abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition and a molded article that maintain high flame retardancy, have excellent mechanical strength after aging, and do not increase in weight. SOLUTION: (A) With respect to 100 parts by weight of a resin component containing 30 to 100% by weight of a polyphenylene ether resin (a1) and 70 to 0% by weight of a styrene resin (a2), (B) 5-30 parts by weight of the compound represented, and 0.2-5 parts by weight of component (C), wherein the component (C) includes (C1) hydrotalcite and (C2) carbodiimide compound.
