titleOfInvention | Screening method of endogenous regulator using pyrrole-imidazole polyamide compound group |
abstract | [PROBLEMS] To develop a method for efficiently identifying an endogenous regulator that controls the expression of genes related to the onset of various diseases such as cancer and cell differentiation more upstream. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] (1) A pyrrole-imidazole polyamide compound that forms a complex with a substance that activates gene expression or a substance that suppresses gene expression, and that can recognize and bind to a DNA sequence. A step of treating cells with a polyamide compound included in the group, 2) a step of selecting a polyamide compound that brings about a cellular response by the treatment of step 1) from the pyrrole-imidazole polyamide compound group, and 3) a selection in step 2) A method for screening an endogenous regulator is provided, which comprises the step of identifying an endogenous regulator associated with the cellular response based on the DNA sequence recognized by the polyamide compound.
