abstract A compact semiconductor laser light source with high optical frequency accuracy is realized immediately after generation of optical output. A semiconductor laser light source includes a light source block including a distributed feedback laser array, a wavelength locker block including an etalon filter to which output light from the light source block is input, and a wavelength locker block. And an amplifier block 400 that amplifies the output light and couples the output light to the optical fiber 105. The amplifier block 400 includes a semiconductor amplifier 403 that operates as an optical attenuator from the start of optical output of the distributed feedback laser array 205 until a predetermined condition is satisfied, and operates as an amplifier when the predetermined condition is satisfied.
