In the conventional method, spherical particles of polyvinylcarboxylic amide crosslinked polymer having a porous structure have not been obtained. [Solution] Spherical polyvinyl carboxylic acid amide crosslinked polymer having a porous structure by suspension polymerization of a mixture of N-vinyl carboxylic acid amide, a polyvinyl compound and a specific organic solvent in a salt water in the presence of a cationic polymer dispersant.
