A method for isolating a target nucleic acid from a sample is provided. The method includes linking a sample containing a target nucleic acid to a non-specific capture probe composed of an oligonucleotide sequence that non-specifically hybridizes to the target nucleic acid, and the target nucleic acid to a support. A non-random sequence consisting of: a poly U sequence, G and T nucleotides, or a random poly (k) sequence comprising G and U nucleotides, no more than 10 nucleotides, etc. Two random oligonucleotide sequences separated by two, random oligonucleotide sequences separated by a non-nucleotide spacer compound, two random oligonucleotide sequences separated by a non-random sequence consisting of 10 or fewer nucleotide base analogs, etc. Selected from the group consisting of It is.
