The present invention provides a method that allows the preparation of titanium and niobium mixed oxides with less energy compared to conventional methods. A process for preparing an amorphous titanium and niobium mixed oxide by solvothermal treatment of at least one titanium precursor and at least one niobium precursor, and titanium and niobium obtained at the end of the solvothermal treatment. A method for preparing a titanium and niobium mixed oxide, comprising: a step of mechanically crushing a mixed oxide; and a step of calcining the mixed oxide obtained after crushing.
