abstract | To provide a film manufacturing method capable of easily detecting a dent defect caused by minute foreign matter on a roll and efficiently cleaning the roll based on detection information of the dent defect. Before manufacturing a product film, an inspection for detecting a dent defect caused by foreign matter on a roll is performed, and by optimizing the molding conditions of the film-like specimen in the inspection, the dent defect is detected. Visibility is improved, and the roll is efficiently cleaned based on the detection information of the dent defect. In the inspection, the temperature T1 of the thermoplastic resin composition extruded from the die is set lower than the temperature T2 of the thermoplastic resin composition extruded from the die in the production of the product film.
