titleOfInvention Composite material containing diatomaceous earth, filter medium, and cartridge filter having the filter medium
abstract It is an object of the present invention to provide a filter that is less likely to be clogged during cell culture solution clarification, can process a large amount of culture solution, and enables low filtration pressure and high filtration rate. SOLUTION: A composite material 11 or 12 in which a thermoplastic composite fiber made of at least two kinds of thermoplastic resins having different melting points and diatomaceous earth are integrated, or a filter medium containing the composite material. The at least two thermoplastic resins having different melting points are preferably polypropylene and polyethylene, and diatomaceous earth is preferably held in the composite material using the thermoplastic conjugate fiber as a binder.
