abstract A method and system for measuring tissue oxygenation is provided. An electronic device acquires a data set that includes a plurality of images of tissue of interest, each resolved in a different spectral band. Spectral analysis at a plurality of points in the two-dimensional region of the tissue image is executed together with image registration. Spectral analysis includes determining approximate values of oxyhemoglobin level and deoxyhemoglobin level at each point in the plurality of points. The predetermined set of 8-12 spectral bands includes spectral bands that improve the tissue oxygenation measurement method. [Selection] Figure 1A
