abstract Disclosed is a delivery device for delivering a safe, suitable and repeatable dosage to a subject for ophthalmic, topical, oral, nasal or pulmonary use. An ophthalmic, topical, oral, nasal or pulmonary method for delivering a safe, suitable and repeatable dosage to a subject and a droplet ejection device are applied. It also includes a fluid delivery system that can deliver a defined volume of fluid in the form of droplets that have the property of imparting a high proportion of sometimes appropriate and repeatable deposition. The method and device eject a droplet stream having a housing 1608 ', a tank disposed within the housing to contain a fixed volume of fluid, and an average ejected droplet diameter greater than 15 microns. An ejector mechanism 1602 configured to have a low entrained air flow rate so that the droplet stream can be deposited on the subject's eye during use. [Selection] Figure 20
