abstract |
Disclosed is an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin composition that has excellent thermal stability, such as excellent thermal decomposition suppression even at high temperatures, and has no off-flavors or coloring even when processed at high temperatures. A lactone ring content ratio (Y / Z) with respect to a total amount (Z) of a carboxylic acid content (X) and a lactone ring content (Y) in a terminal structure of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. Is a resin composition containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having a content of 55 mol% or more and a boron compound, and the content ratio of the boron compound to the resin composition is 400 ppm or less on a weight basis in terms of boron.
