abstract A method of manufacturing a light control device capable of maintaining characteristics even when cut or punched to a desired size is provided. A method of manufacturing a light control device according to the present invention includes preparing a pair of substrates; applying a liquid crystal composition containing a liquid crystal compound and a monomer component on one of the pair of substrates to form a coating layer. Forming a laminate by stacking the other substrate on the coating layer; irradiating the laminate with a first active energy ray in a predetermined pattern, and applying a second active to the entire surface of the laminate. Performing energy beam irradiation to obtain a light control device base material; and cutting or punching the light control device base material to obtain a light control device. The light control device base material is sandwiched between a pair of substrates, includes a light control layer including a first polymer and a liquid crystal compound, and a second polymer, and the light control layer is divided into a plurality of sections corresponding to the predetermined pattern. Partition walls having a continuous structure partitioned into two, and the spacing between the partition walls is 1 mm or less. [Selection] Figure 1
