Drug delivery device having titania nanotube membrane |
abstract |
Disclosed is a drug delivery device for delivering a therapeutic agent, comprising a plurality of titania nanotubes forming a titania nanotube film on a titanium substrate. The step of growing the titania nanotubes on a titanium substrate, and then the back of the titanium substrate being a surface free of the titania nanotubes until the inner portion of the titania nanotubes is brought into contact with the first group of titania nanotubes. It is manufactured by the process of etching. The titania nanotubes are open at both ends and allow liquid or solid diffusion through the titania nanotubes from one side of the membrane to the other.
