abstract [PROBLEMS] To maintain water resistance, which is an advantage of using a pigment, and to have excellent storage stability capable of suppressing the solidification of a pigment and a polymer at an ink discharge nozzle, and to be in contact even when a printed material is held in a stacked state. The present invention provides a water-based pigment dispersion excellent in transfer resistance in which no transfer occurs, a method for producing the same, and a method for producing a water-based ink. A water-based pigment dispersion containing a pigment and a polymer dispersant comprising the polymer A water-insoluble polymer having a crosslinked structure obtained by reacting a water-insoluble polymer (A) having a carboxy group and an acid value of 200 to 320 mgKOH / g with a water-insoluble polyfunctional epoxy compound. At least a part of the carboxy group in (A) is neutralized with an alkali metal hydroxide, the mass ratio (pigment / polymer dispersant) is 0.5 to 1.8, and [(100− sum - degree of crosslinking) / 100] value of × acid value of (water-insoluble polymer (A)) is beyond 130 mgKOH / g or less -30mgKOH / g, a water-based pigment dispersion.
