PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for producing an aromatic compound which exhibits excellent performance in productivity, stability and long life when producing an aromatic compound from an aliphatic hydrocarbon. A metal-containing MFI-type zeolite containing zinc and / or gallium and satisfying the following properties (i) to (iii).
