titleOfInvention Processing apparatus and processing method
abstract The accuracy of an oxygen saturation value calculated by a photoacoustic apparatus is improved. Image processing including a processing unit that acquires image data indicating an oxygen saturation distribution inside a subject using a signal derived from an acoustic wave generated by irradiating the subject with light having a plurality of wavelengths. A processing unit is a device for acquiring oxygen saturation at a specific position of a blood vessel of a subject generated by image reconstruction using a signal, and correcting oxygen saturation at the specific position of the blood vessel. The first correction amount is acquired, and the second correction amount for correcting the oxygen saturation of the portion that is not the specific position of the subject is acquired based on the first correction amount.
