abstract | [PROBLEMS] To develop and provide a genome editing technique that can be put to practical use in various filamentous fungi including Aspergillus spp. A method for editing the genome of a filamentous fungus by direct introduction of a genome editing protein molecule or complex is provided. In the first aspect, a gene on the Aspergillus genome is edited by directly introducing a genome-editing protein molecule or complex for the target gene into Aspergillus cells. In the second embodiment, the genome-editing protein molecule or complex for the target region on the filamentous fungal genome and the desired DNA fragment are directly introduced into the filamentous fungal cell, so that the DNA is inserted into the desired target site on the filamentous fungal genome.
