abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for isolating circulating multiple myeloma cells and a method for treating a patient suspected of having an abnormal plasma cell disease. A method for capturing, isolating and analyzing circulating multiple myeloma cells, comprising: (a) obtaining a blood sample from a subject; and (b) conjugating said sample with a first ligand. Contacting the gated colloidal magnetic particles; and (c) subjecting the sample of step (b) to a magnetic field to produce a separated fraction of circulating multiple myeloma cells associated with the magnetic particles. And (d) treating the sample of step (c) with a first additional marker; and (e) analyzing circulating multiple myeloma cells. [Selection] Figure 1 |
