abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a plant growing method capable of preventing pests from being attached to a plant to be grown. A plant 21 to be grown is covered with a net 10 formed by weaving a monofilament 100 that reflects light having a red wavelength and the like, and the plant 21 is exposed to sunlight through the net 10. Thus, a method for growing a plant 21 that grows the plant 21 by irradiating the jasmonic acid pathway in the living body by applying light having a red wavelength reflected by the monofilament 100 to the plant 21.
