abstract | Disclosed is a phenol resin foam with suppressed deformation, and a method for producing the same. A phenol resin foam comprising a phenol resin foam layer containing a foaming agent containing a halogenated unsaturated hydrocarbon, wherein the foam layer has a compressive elastic modulus of 3.0 MPa or more. It is preferable that an average bubble diameter in a section obtained by dividing the thickness direction of the foamed layer into two equal parts is 50 μm or more and 150 μm or less. It is preferable that the standard deviation of the bubble diameter in a cross section obtained by equally dividing the thickness direction of the foam layer is 35 μm or less.
