titleOfInvention Improved screening method for enteric bacteria
abstract The present invention provides a screening method for enteric bacteria that improves screening efficiency of a stool test, enables early determination of negative samples, and further narrows down positive samples. A method for examining the presence or absence of any one of three species of Salmonella, enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli and Shigella in a stool sample, comprising the following steps (1) to (5). (1) Step of pooling X stool specimen suspensions (X is an integer of 10 or more) and preparing pooled stool (2) Primary screening by multiplex PCR using the pooled stool prepared in (1) In the steps (3) and (2), the individual feces used for the pooled feces selected in the steps (4) and (3) are selected. And using the pooled stool prepared in steps (5) and (4) for further producing Y (where Y is an integer smaller than X) stool specimen suspension, secondary screening is performed by PCR.
