2,6,6-Trimethyl-2-cyclohexene obtained by catalytic oxidation of 3,5,5-trimethylcyclohex-3-en-1-one (β-isophorone) using hydrogen peroxide as an oxidizing agent -1,4-dione (keto-isophorone) is provided.
