【Task】 Known hydrogen storage methods include a method of physically adsorbing hydrogen on a high specific surface area material (adsorption storage method) and a method of incorporating hydrogen into a hydrogen storage alloy, both of which adsorb hydrogen at low temperature and high pressure, The cycle of desorption under high temperature and low pressure is used reversibly. However, the adsorption storage method has a problem that hydrogen is almost desorbed at around room temperature, and a hydrogen storage alloy has a problem that it becomes brittle due to repeated insertion and extraction of hydrogen. [Solution] By introducing hydrogen into the porous carrier-supported group VIII metal, the amount of hydrogen adsorbed and stored can be increased. Furthermore, by supporting at least one of alkaline earth metal oxides, rare earth oxides, silver, copper and chromium on the porous carrier, the desorption of hydrogen adsorbed on the Group VIII metal is promoted, and possible. It was found that the amount of hydrogen collected can be increased. [Selection figure] None |
