abstract | An electrophotographic photosensitive member having excellent filming resistance is provided. An electrophotographic photosensitive member (30) includes a conductive substrate (31) and a photosensitive layer (32). Photosensitive layer 32 includes charge generation layer 321 and charge transport layer 322. The charge generation layer 321 contains a charge generation agent. The charge transport layer 322 contains a hole transport agent and a binder resin. The charge transport layer 322 is a single layer and is provided as the outermost layer. The binder resin comprises a polyarylate resin represented by a specific structure. The melting point of the hole transport agent is 200 ° C. or higher.
