abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a cellulose nanofiber production apparatus and a cellulose nanofiber production method capable of reducing the number of mechanical miniaturization processes and producing cellulose nanofibers with energy saving. The present invention relates to one or a plurality of conical refiners for coarsely defibrating the pulp fibers in the slurry with respect to the pulp fibers in the slurry, and a high-pressure homogenizer for refining the pulp fibers in the slurry. Is an apparatus for producing cellulose nanofibers. It is preferable that a plurality of the conical refiners are provided, and the plurality of conical refiners are connected in series. It is preferable to further include a circulation mechanism for circulating a slurry containing pulp fibers with respect to each of the conical refiners. It is preferable to further include a chemical treatment mechanism that performs chemical treatment comprising oxidation treatment, hydrolysis treatment, or a combination thereof.
