titleOfInvention Method for producing exhaust gas purification catalyst
abstract Provided is a method for producing an exhaust gas purifying catalyst that can be separated from a gripping jig even if catalyst slurry is leached to the outer skin during a wash coat in which a catalyst is supported on a honeycomb carrier. A honeycomb carrier to which catalyst slurry is supplied is obtained by holding and fixing the outer periphery of the honeycomb carrier with an elastic holding jig having a balloon-like support, and then supplying a slurry liquid containing a catalyst component from the end face of the honeycomb carrier. In the state of being held by the support, the air flow is applied from the end face of the honeycomb carrier to which the catalyst slurry is supplied to cover the catalyst components in the cells, and the elastic holding jig is applied from the outer skin portion of the honeycomb carrier fixed by the catalyst slurry leaching. The honeycomb carrier separated through the separation step is dried and then fired to carry the catalyst component. In the separation step, the honeycomb carrier is sucked from the balloon-like support of the elastic gripping jig. A method for producing an exhaust gas purification catalyst carrying a catalyst component by a wash coat method, which promotes separation of an outer skin and a support. [Selection] Figure 3
